Leading Hospitalist Organization Presents “Engaging Physicians in Patient Experience Improvement”

Tacoma, Wash. – April 19, 2013 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, will be presenting at the American College of Physician Executives 2013 Annual Meeting. Dr. Mark Rudolph, VP of Patient Experience and Physician Development at Sound Physicians, will be leading the session entitled, “Engaging Physicians in Patient Experience Improvement.”

Dr. Rudolph will be discussing leadership communication strategies that foster physician alignment with patient experience goals. Physician leaders will learn how to cultivate physician alignment, implement tools to drive results, and use meaningful data to influence physician behavior.

“Making physicians aware of the impact their communication has on patient care is the first step to engaging physicians in improving the patient experience and ultimately HCAHPS scores,” said Dr. Rudolph. “I’m excited to present strategies that physician leaders can implement to help providers master superior communication skills relevant to the inpatient setting.”

The meeting takes place in New York City from April 26-30, 2013. Dr. Rudolph’s presentation is April 28, 2013, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This year’s ACPE conference is expected to draw 700 health care leaders from around the world.
