Society of Hospital Medicine Announces Sound Physicians as Visionary Sponsor of Hospital Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship Fund

Scholarship supports growing a diverse hospital medicine workforce 

We’re proud to announce our partnership with the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) as Visionary Sponsor of its Hospital Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship Fund in the amount of $25,000. Our sponsorship will assist in providing a medical student financial support for their medical school education — and fostering the growth of a vibrant, diverse hospital medicine workforce.

The scholarship fund is part of SHM’s commitment to investing in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, recognizing a critical opportunity to support the growth of a pipeline of physicians who will willingly support underserved communities.

Dr. Howell will present the Hospital Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship Fund at SHM’s annual conference, SHM Converge, in San Diego, California, in April.
