Stacy Michaud, RN, BSN, CCDS, specializes in Clinical Documentation Improvement and Integrity. Stacy is currently the Quality Assurance Director with Sound Advisory Services based out of Chicago, IL serving hospitals nationwide.
A graduate of the University of Southern Maine with nearly 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, Stacy spent 10 years providing bedside nursing care in a variety of settings ranging from Medical/Surgical Telemetry as well as a small community hospital ICU in western Massachusetts. During this time she also taught clinical nursing to LPN and RN students from nearby colleges.
Stacy worked as a case manager and clinical performance nurse for Sound Physicians with a focused specialty in clinical documentation integrity and improvement from 2010 to 2015. She then received her Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification in 2015 from the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS). She is currently an active member of ACDIS and worked as a CDI specialist at a tertiary level hospital as well as a community hospital from 2015 to 2017.
