Sound Physicians Promotes Lasongia Morton, M.D., to Regional Medical Director, Atlantic Region
Leading hospitalist organization grows regional leadership team.
Friday, Sept. 5, 2014– Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, is pleased to announce the promotion of Lasongia Morton, M.D., to Regional Medical Director. Lasongia joined Sound Physicians in 2012 and most recently held the Chief Hospitalist position at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA.
As Regional Medical Director, Lasongia will be directly responsible for the hospitalist programs in the southeast, driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance for medical centers in Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Lasongia will be working with the teams to ensure the hospital partner goals are met and will be involved in physician development activities for the hospitalist physicians in the area.
