Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services at Covenant Medical Center

Hospitalist Organization Assumes Leadership of 21-Member Team

Tacoma, Wash. – Nov. 7, 2013 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX.

Sound Physicians will assume employment and management of the existing hospital-employed hospitalist program and begin providing comprehensive hospitalist services at Covenant Medical Center in February 2014. The 21-member hospitalist team will include 13 physicians, six mid-level providers and two nurses. Covenant Medical Center is an 868-bed hospital that is part of Covenant Health System, the largest health system in the region.

Sound Physicians will also apply its expertise in building high-performing hospitalist practices, including strong physician leadership, revenue cycle management and a track record of physician recruiting success.
