Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services for Baptist Health System in San Antonio, TX

Leading Hospitalist Organization Expands Services in Texas

Tacoma, Wash. – August 29, 2013 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for four San Antonio hospitals in the Baptist Health System network.

Baptist Health System operates five major acute care hospitals in San Antonio, four of which Sound Physicians will now provide comprehensive hospitalist services for. The hospitals include: Baptist Medical Center, Northeast Baptist Hospital, North Central Baptist Hospital and Mission Trail Baptist Hospital. Sound Physicians will employ 50 hospitalist physicians between the four hospitals.
