Leading hospitalist organization presents at pre-course, “What Keeps You Awake at Night? Hot Topics in Hospitalist Practice Management
Tacoma, Wash. – May 15, 2013 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, will be presenting at the Society of Hospital Medicine’s 2013 Annual Meeting. Robert Bessler, M.D., CEO of Sound Physicians, will serve as an expert faculty member for SHM’s new practice management pre-course, entitled, “What Keeps You Awake at Night? Hot Topics in Hospitalist Practice Management.”
The course will offer perspectives about best practices for delivering value in hospital medicine and creating sustainable hospitalist careers. Dr. Bessler will be joined by course directors John Nelson, M.D., M.H.M., and Leslie Flores, M.H.A., as well as faculty member Eric Howell, M.D., S.F.H.M., associate professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
The course takes place Thursday, May 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sound Physicians and ECHO Locum Tenens will also be exhibiting at the conference at booth #317. This year’s Society of Hospital Medicine meeting is at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Md., from May 16 – 19.
