Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services for Mercy Hospital & Medical Center
Tacoma, Wash. – June 3, 2014 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in the quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, announced today an agreement to employ and manage a team of hospitalist physicians at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago, Ill.
Mercy Hospital & Medical Center, operating 200 inpatient beds, offers a variety of services including one of the city’s leading Heart & Vascular Centers, certified Stroke and Cancer Centers, both accredited for excellence; a comprehensive Breast & Women’s Healthcare Center and a state-of-the-art Emergency Center that includes the Higginbottom Urgent Care for Kids Unit. Mercy Hospital & Medical Center is part of CHE Trinity Health.

Sound Physicians will also apply its expertise in building high-performing hospitalist practices, including strong physician leadership, revenue cycle management and a track record of physician recruiting success.
