Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services for Texas Health Huguley Hospital
Leading health care organization partners with a second Texas Health Resources System hospital to improve quality, reduce cost of care in Dallas / Fort Worth Region
TACOMA, WA, September 29, 2015 — Sound Physicians, a health care organization focused on improving quality and lowering cost throughout the acute episode of care, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for Texas Health Huguley Hospital in South Fort Worth, Texas. Texas Health Huguley Hospital is a 223-bed acute care hospital with an award-winning emergency department, accredited chest pain center, accredited bone and joint program, medical intensive care unit, cardiovascular critical care unit, progressive care unit, and open-heart surgery center. The hospital is a member of the Texas Health Resources System and is operated under an operating agreement with Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care organization in the United States. Texas Health Huguley Hospital is the second hospital to partner with Sound Physicians from the Texas Health Resources System; Sound Physicians partnered with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas in 2014.

Sound Physicians will manage a hospital-employed team of 14 hospitalist physicians, plus one hospitalist nurse and one site coordinator focused on performance improvements and team infrastructure. Working with Texas Health Huguley Hospital, Sound Physicians will introduce its SoundConnect workflow and communication platform to drive improvement in outcomes and foster effective communication as it fulfills its vision to be the leader in improving quality and lowering the cost of care for patients in the communities it serves.
