Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services for St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital
Leading health care organization expands services to teaching hospital within Mercy Health System
TACOMA, WA, December 01, 2015 –Sound Physicians, a health care organization focused on improving quality and lowering cost throughout the acute episode of care, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is a 550-bed tertiary care hospital. The hospital offers residency programs for internal medicine, family medicine, general surgery, transitional and dental care. It is the only Level I Trauma Center in the Mahoning and Shenango Valleys. Sound Physicians will recruit a team of physicians who will lead performance improvements and inpatient care. St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital is a part of Mercy Health — and the sixth facility in the health system that Sound Physicians has partnered with.

Sound Physicians will manage the team of physicians at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Working with the hospital’s administrative team, Sound Physicians will introduce its SoundConnect workflow and communication platform to drive improvement in outcomes and foster effective communication as it fulfills its vision of being the leader at improving quality and lowering the cost of care for patients in the communities it serves.
