Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services for Seven CHRISTUS Health Hospitals
Leading Hospitalist Organization Expands Services throughout Texas, Louisiana
Tacoma, Wash. – Sept. 12, 2013 – Sound Physicians, a leading hospitalist organization focused on driving improvements in quality, satisfaction and financial performance of inpatient healthcare delivery, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for seven CHRISTUS Health hospitals throughout Texas and Louisiana.
The sites include: CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-South in Corpus Christi, TX; CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Medical Center and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX; and CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital and CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center in Louisiana.

Working with CHRISTUS Health’s leadership team, Sound Physicians will assume employment of the Louisiana-based hospital’s employed hospitalists and recruit to build teams in its Texas hospitals. Sound Physicians will introduce its SoundConnect™ workflow and communications platform and processes to drive improvements in inpatient care outcomes, as well as financial performance. Sound Physicians will also apply its expertise in building high-performing hospitalist practices, including strong physician leadership, revenue cycle management and a track record of physician recruiting success.
