If you or a family member were seen in a hospital, emergency department, or post-acute care facility, you might have received a bill from Sound Physicians. This bill is for the services provided by the clinician who delivered care. 

We partner with hospitals across the country and are dedicated to ensuring your experience as a patient is one that makes you and your family feel confident in the care you receive. Below are a few options to help you with the next steps of your billing inquiry. 

Patient billing and payment information

You will always receive a text when your bill is ready. These texts are not spam. You may opt out of these texts at any time. 

For any services provided by Sound Physicians on or after 10/1/2025, billing is facilitated through Ventra (this excludes any of the HRC sites listed below). 

If you have questions about your bill, contact Ventra using the phone number and/or email that corresponds with your service: 

Anesthesia 

Hospital Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Telemedicine

No surprise billing 

When you receive emergency care or are treated by an out-of-network provider at an in-network hospital or ambulatory surgical center, you’re protected from surprise billing or balance billing. Learn more.
