Dr. Rudolph leads clinical provider professional development efforts, as well as Sound Physicians’ patient experience program. He directs the creation of innovative professional education to further develop high-performing physician leaders who contribute to the success of Sound Physicians’ hospital partners nationwide.
Dr. Rudolph is the author of several educational programs on the patient experience of care and communication skills designed for providers and nurses. He developed the organization’s web-based learning platform, Sound Institute, which provides educational content and CME courses. Sound Physicians’ Emerging Leaders program is led by Dr. Rudolph, which includes a 12-month curriculum with both mentoring and leadership skill training for physicians advancing into leadership roles within the hospital.
His career experience encompasses clinical leadership roles within Sound Physicians, including chief hospitalist, regional chief medical officer and medicine department chair at Highline Medical Center. Prior to Sound Physicians, Dr. Rudolph was assistant director for graduate medical education and chief resident at the New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital/New York Downtown Hospital.
Dr. Rudolph is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Rudolph currently serves as Chairman of the Society of Hospital Medicine’s Patient Experience Committee.
