Sound Physicians Welcomes Brendan McNamara as Chief Executive Officer of Telemedicine

Expanding Commitment to Sound Telemedicine Service Offering

Tacoma, WA July 17, 2019 – Sound Physicians announced that Brendan McNamara has joined the organization as Chief Executive Officer for Sound Telemedicine. In this role, he will oversee all strategic and operational aspects of Sound Telemedicine, ensuring delivery on Sound Physicians’ commitment to superior value-based outcomes for patients, hospital partners, and payers. Brendan will play a critical role in identifying and growing new services for both acute and post-acute settings, including within hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and at home.

Most recently, Brendan served as Staff Vice President, Strategy, Diversified Business Group at Anthem, Inc., where he was responsible for driving strategy development, commercialization, and corporate development. Prior to that, Brendan held leadership roles in a number of healthcare-oriented organizations, including Quintiles Transnational Holdings, Accelion, Inc., and Guardian Homecare Holdings. Brendan received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also served as an officer in the United States Army for 8 years.
