We’re attuned to the needs of our partners and take time to understand how to best meet those needs. As experts in managing hospital programs, delivering care via telemedicine, and supporting long-term care patients, we’re empowered with the right training, tools, and support to provide exceptional clinical care.
Bringing better to the bedside.
Led by physicians. Centered around patients.
Sound was founded more than two decades ago by an emergency room physician who wanted something for the patients in his community. Our commitment hasn’t wavered as we’ve grown, and today, we’re proud to practice across multiple specialties in hundreds of communities coast to coast. Our strong leadership and teams, combined with clinical rigor, support the unique needs and culture of each community we serve.
We’re physicians, advanced practice providers, CRNAs, and nurses guided by a deep sense of purpose in everything we do for our patients.
The Sound Difference
We grasp better than anyone the link between providing patients with excellent care and the need to generate desired financial results. These principles embody how we build, develop, and maintain successful clinical practices:
From day one, we invest heavily in providing structured training and coaching to inspire our clinicians and develop leaders and high-functioning teams. We put a premium on their well-being and regularly monitor for burnout.
Hospital-based medicine often needs subsidies to survive. That’s why we focus relentlessly on finding ways to save, whether it’s flexing schedules to match fluctuations in clinical volume day-to-day or engaging our APPs and CRNAs to practice at the top of their license.
We embed technology into our physicians’ workflows to promote consistent clinical excellence and help eliminate unwanted variations. Real-time, risk-adjusted feedback and coaching improves quality on all the key clinical measures.
We’re so confident in our ability to generate positive results for our partners, we regularly will take on risk. Since 2015, we have managed 1M episodes and over $10B under value-based contracts.
