Sound Physicians Enters Agreement to Provide Hospitalist Services with Alameda Health System’s San Leandro Hospital
Leading healthcare organization partners with California hospital to improve quality, reduce cost of care
Tacoma, Wash. – July 01, 2016– Sound Physicians, a healthcare organization focused on improving quality and lowering cost throughout the acute episode of care, announced today an agreement to provide hospitalist services for San Leandro Hospital. Alameda Health System is a leading public healthcare provider and medical training institution recognized for its world-class patient- and family-centered care. Founded in 1960, San Leandro Hospital is a one of their community hospitals, providing a full range of medical services to a population of nearly 265,000 people in San Leandro, California and the surrounding communities.

Sound Physicians will employ a team of hospitalist physicians, including a chief hospitalist, as well as a hospitalist nurse, focused on driving performance improvements and patient satisfaction efforts. Collaborating with the leadership of San Leandro Hospital, including Medical Staff, Sound Physicians will implement a proven quality performance model designed to improve quality, satisfaction, and financial performance for the hospital.
